Ministers of the Iraqiya bloc, Tuesday (07/02/2012) stop boycott cabinet that began in December when a crisis with Shiite-led government, said a spokesman for Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. "The Prime Minister welcomed the return of the ministers to start the task of the government," said Ali Mussawi told AFP.
Iraqiya lawmakers return to active duty in parliament on January 31.
Block began boycotting parliament and the cabinet to protest what they called the centralization of power in Maliki. Maliki's bloc also called for respect for the power-sharing agreement or backward.
Authorities accused the Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi of the Sunni group, the members of the Iraqiya, forming a team of assassins. He was hiding in the autonomous region of Kurdistan in northern Iraq, and local authorities have so far refused to hand him over to the Baghdad government.
The prime minister, a Shiite from Sunni representatives also said Saleh al-Saleh Absolute herus fired after saying that Maliki is worse than Saddam Hussein. ( Kompas.com)
