Candidates Candidates President of the United States (U.S.) Republican Newt Gingrich urged his rival, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry to budge. For Gingrich, if they succumb, he sure was able to defeat Mitt Romney in South Carolina.
"When you look at polls, I'm the only one of the most realistic conservative politicians in voicing the change candidate than the other candidates. Romney will likely win if you pick Perry or Santorum. Therefore, they both had to yield to conservative unity," says Gingrich , as quoted by the Daily Mail, Wednesday (01/18/2012).
According to the newspaper, Gingrich was seen ahead in South Carolina. He also believes will become a candidate who is ready to face President Barack Obama.
"I'm not sure Santorum will be able to do what he says in his campaign. It's not because he's not pleasant, but because Santorum has no knowledge in terms of governance," he added.
